Hey guys,

This is my first post here so bare with me!

I need some tips on how to prevent my camera (550D 18-135mm kit) from getting slaughtered by dust and sand shot from the drifting of WRC cars. I will be filming the 1000 Lakes Rally here in Finland. I am very close (5m) to the roads, so I should probably have some kind of protection from sand and/or water.

Please note, I need something cheap, fast ( As I will start filming in 12 hours ) to cover my camera while still being able to focus etc.

Thanks!

-J

UV filter in front of the lens and perhaps a big Minigrip bag over the camera with your hands inside and a hole cut for the lens. (Transparent zip-lock bag for freezing food. Other countries may have other brands.)

Kiitos neuvoista Antti!:)

Everything went well, had my UV filter and a couple of plastic bags over my "rig".
I was pleased that it did not rain when I filmed!

PS. Heres some material I gathered from the Neste Oil Rally Finland the other weekend.
