Wow!
Congratulations on creating an excellent product with NeoHD and (though I haven't demo'ed it yet) Neo3D. I installed a fresh Windows 7 64-bit and was editing with an openGL stereo3D window and/or openGL stereo 3D external monitor in full res within a couple of hours. The install was easy and setup straight-forward (once I remembered to install quicktime). The controls for fixing alignment errors in NeoHD are excellent. The playback is responsive and the codec looks great. The active metadata workflow is incredibly advanced and a very sensible way to work.
Only a couple of minor tech questions linger:
Is it a known issue that FLplayer.exe crashes upon loading First Light when OpenGL 3D is use by premiere pro? At the moment this requires me closing premiere in order to make any changes to the active metadata while previewing muxed file.
A basic color correction question: Is there a function in first light that allows displaying both a reference clip and a second clip for which the active metadata may be adjusted and previewed in realtime? In an NLE I would use the split frame to match looks between shots. Basically I want to create a look for a scene with one clip and then have it displayed while I edit other clips to match the look.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I consider a new computer build specifically for 3D Cineform editing.
Thank you.
