Is there a way to put some kind of copy guard on my video disks that I am selling, to prevent anyone from simply burning a copy from that disk?
Thanks.
Mike

View Full Version : Copy Protection? Mike Burgess July 26th, 2010, 05:51 AM Is there a way to put some kind of copy guard on my video disks that I am selling, to prevent anyone from simply burning a copy from that disk? Thanks. Mike Frank Brodkorb July 26th, 2010, 06:01 AM Short answer: NO! Yes, there are some protection schemes that can prohibit a blunt copy, but there is no such thing, as a copy protection that can not easily dodged by any 12 year old computer kid with the usual software. Sorry, Frank Chris Davis July 26th, 2010, 07:07 AM An old saying goes: "Locks keep out only honest people." Any copy protection method is either expensive or ghetto (scratching the disk.) Neither work any better than some simple text on the disk that says "This disk represents my livelihood. Please do not make illegal copies." This topic has pretty much been discussed to death in the DVD authoring forum. |
