Announcing the Third Annual FCPUG Amsterdam SuperMeet to be held Sunday, 12 September 2010, once again at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam, NL.

Tickets are now on sale now online only for the “EARLY BIRD” price of €10,00 Euros each for adults and €7,00 Euros each for students. Doors will open at 16:30 for the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring over 20 software and hardware developers showing off their solutions and solving your problems.*Food, (free) and cash bars will be available throughout the evening.

In addition we will inaugurate the very first Amsterdam SuperMeet Open Screen Theater.*Get seen! Show your content. Just show up, sign up, get up and show off. More details on Open Screen Theater coming soon.*

This SuperMeet will once again be the largest gathering of Final Cut Studio, Avid, Adobe and digital filmmakers during IBC week. This is YOUR party and it’s going to be a great one.*

Agenda Update: although it is not inked yet, we can tell you this:

Autodesk will show off Smoke on Mac OSX. Blackmagic Design will show of the
new DaVinci Resolve. Avid will show off Media Composer 5. And yes, FCS fans,
there will be plenty of FCS magic on stage as we intend to devote an entire
half of the show to Final Cut Studio apps. We intend to bring some of the
best FCS Gurus on the planet to the stage and let them teach and delight you
in their wizardry. The hope is, you go home knowing more than you ever did
before about Final Cut Studio and use that knowledge to create your
masterpiece.

If time, there will be show and tells from local filmmakers, and of course,
the seemingly endless World famous Raffle where we will give away once
again, thousands of dollars worth of prizes to dozens of lucky winners.

Joran Maaswinkel, Senior Editor of Bake Post will join Autodesk’s Grant Kay to help demystify Smoke for Mac. Grant will have his bag of tips and tricks with examples that range from pulling the impossible key to using 3D compositing tools to take your motion graphics to the next level. Grant and Joran will also show the latest in stereoscopic 3D editorial finishing – an out-of-the-box feature in Smoke. *

"Warren Eagles, a color artist for more than 20 years on movies such as “The Great Raid” and “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,” as well as TV series such as “Rush,” will give an in-depth look and demo at the new DaVinci Resolve for Mac, including workflow demos within Final Cut Pro."

Max Burgess, Offline/Online Editor at SpliceTV, one of the leading creative editors in London will showcase some incredible work edited on Media Composer and shot with the RED Digital Cinema camera; Max will demonstrate some of the new features in Media Composer 5 and how these can benefit any editor on any platform; Avid will in turn demonstrate complete integrated workflow with Final Cut Pro.

The entire 2nd half of the show will be devoted to Final Cut Studio Tips & Tricks. Apple Master Trainer Abba Shapiro will share numerous FCP tips and tricks, many of which you do not know and will not see unless you are at the SuperMeet. Abba will be joined by the UK’s Simon Walker will show you how to animate text in Motion and FCP in just 10 minutes. Simon will be showing techniques in Motion that editors can use to create graphical sequences and flourishes, but to make them quickly, whilst also avoiding those evil keyframes!

Also on stage will be editor Andrei Nazarov who will also show off more FCS solutions. And just added, from Germany, certified Apple trainer, lecturer and editor Andrea Rüd will solve your problems with Multiclip editing.

In addition there will be a show and tell from a local Netherlands filmmaker, and of course the “World Famous Raffle,” where over €40,000,00 worth of valuable prizes will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.

Doors will open at 16:30 with the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring over 20 software and hardware developers including Autodesk, Blackmagic Design, Avid, Adobe, Foundry, Genarts, Vimeo, RE:Vision Effects, Pond 5, G-Tech, Matrox, Noise Industries, CoreMelt, Singular Software, GET, Red Giant Software and many others.

As part of the Digital Showcase, there will be the inaugural "Open Screen Theater." Filmmakers and digital content creators wanting to "Get Seen" will have a 10 minute chance to do so in an informal, collaborative setting. Those who are shooting with DSLRS, camcorders, iPhones or anything that makes video, and who want to screen their content, can just show up and sign up, get up and show off. Sign-ups begin at 16:30 when the doors open and are open only to ticket holders.

Tickets are only €15.00 each (includes 2 raffle tickets) for Adults and €10.00 for students and are on sale online only.

Food, (snacks) and cash bars will be available throughout the evening.
