I would like to easily set a chapter point on each of approximately 100 clips on the time line. Is there an automated way to do this in Vegas? Setting marks manually when there are this many clips is tedious.

With credit to John Meyer and Edward Troxel, attached is a script called "Markers at Media Change Points" that should do what you want.
I just tested it in Pro 9 and it works there.

Of course the big scripts like Excalibur and Ultimate S can easily do this as well.
