Firstly this ISNT a HD monitor, the company advertising is VERY misleading - the native resolution of this thing is 800*480 - that's not even 720p!!!!

Secondly google 'component' - that's what those connectors are that you weren't that sure of...

The way you state you upgraded from a standard definition monitor to a HD monitor, together with this company's marketing tactics will mislead many who don't know any better. Although from the price they should.

Hi Anthony, Take a look at Mahattan LCD 7" (HD071A) monitor. It's $100 more than the Proam but it is 1024x600 with the same connectivity.

Actually the Pro-Am is only $379 so its a fair bit more...then you look at the Manhattan at $599 and then start adding all the things you need - batteries, plates, hoods and its up around the same price (if not more) as the full 720p resolution SmallHD DP1x bundle which gives you the works for $999 including free worldwide delivery.

So if money is tight id go for the cheaper SD but if resolution matters then its clearly the SmallHD for the win - sorry but to me the Manhattan is stuck in no man's land in terms of the features to price ratio. But each to their own.

Wow, that is a good deal on the Small HD. Still, for a shoestring budget you can get a Manhattan LCD 071A "B" stock with a battery for about $440 less.

I bought it will full extras, 7'' hood , battery back, velcro and and and ....

First Imprensions? Looks good and easy to use, negative? it seems that it is a very cheap construction that will not last for long time...
