Hiya,

I did a search but couldn't find exact info on this.

I have found in the paper a person selling an xl1s, it is a good price, not unbelievable but still not bad.

I am going to look at this camera in person tommorow, all i know from the phone call is that it was purchased in my city, is under a year old and is 'as new'. But i dont trust anybody.

When i am inspecting the camera, what should i look out for as a big no no?

Is there a way at all in the menu to bring up the hours it has been used like in a sony?

Anyways,

Thanx for the help

Yes, but only by a Canon service technician. Upon buying any used camcorder, your very first step should be to send it in to factory service for a check-up and cleaning.

Chris,

You think if it is still covered by warrenty i should take it directly in for the warrenty to be extended?

You'll have to contact Canon Aus; I'm not sure how it works down under.

Kewl thanx chris,

Is there any kinda physical problem that is apparent and exclusive to this model to look for, like you know when some models of cars have a problem with a leak in spots u look for them when buying one used.
