David C Wright November 26th, 2012, 08:26 PM Free ground shipping in the US Chris Loh November 27th, 2012, 10:49 AM good luck with your sale! i've been looking to pick one of these up, unfortunately, my car bit the dust so I'll have to wait a little while. Great camera for a great price! Paul Cronin November 27th, 2012, 12:01 PM Price Reduced $485 Chris Hurd November 27th, 2012, 08:34 PM Having moved on to the EOS 5D Mk. III, the time has come to part ways with one of my two trusty EOS 7D cameras and find a good home for it. This camera has been cleaned and checked by Canon USA (documentation provided). It is in very good condition with only two minor cosmetic dings: there's a small nick on the bottom of the body, and a couple of scuff marks on the top display panel (see pics). The large LCD display on the back is flawless (see pic). This camera has brand new primary guts, the main circuit board having been recently replaced by Canon USA (documentation provided). There are only 15,000 activations on the shutter (documentation provided), so it's barely a tenth of the way through the standard EOS 7D expected lifecycle of 150,000. Last year I had this camera modified by Canon USA to replace the program mode dial with the newer, better locking version as found on the EOS 60D. The lens that came with this kit has never been used. I unboxed it one time to take a picture of it, shown here. It's not an L-series lens but it does have image stabilization. I already own one of these EF 28-135mm lenses and have had photographs taken with it published in a couple of mass-market coffee table books. All of the original accessories are included and most of them are still unwrapped and have never been used. Even the manual is still shrink-wrapped. I'm throwing in an HDMI-to-Mini-HDMI cable, a third-party remote switch, and an assortment of Canon and DVi branded swag. Canon EOS 7D (modified) w/ EF 28-135mm IS lens + grip, batts, extras -- in original packaging w/ all accessories (most have never been unwrapped) -- locking mode dial modification added by Canon USA -- recent clean & check by Canon USA -- main PCB assembly recently replaced as new -- 15,000 shutter actuations (documented) (shutter life expectancy is 150,000) -- EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens is brand new and has never been used -- newly available firmware v2.0 already installed -- more info at Canon U.S.A. : EOS 7D Firmware Upgrade Comparison (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/EOS7D_firmware_compare) -- Abacus 6ft. HDMI to Mini-HDMI cable, new, unwrapped -- 3rd-party JYC remote shutter trigger Swag pack: -- 2 x Canon trade show ID lanyards -- 2 x assorted Canon-branded pens -- DVi-branded pen w/ built-in flashlight -- DVi-branded original LensPen mult-function lens cleaning tool -- DVi-branded magnetic base bendy-light w/ laser pointer, in gift box Price for this kit is $1200. Payment by PayPal or bank-issued cashier's check only. Ships free to a U.S. address. Chris Hurd November 27th, 2012, 08:36 PM More pics... because you can't have enough pics. Chris Hurd November 28th, 2012, 10:31 PM This 2006 model Canon XH A1 High Definition HDV video camcorder has been recently cleaned and checked by Canon Professional Services (documentation provided). The factory service center has also retro-fitted this camcorder with a brand new tape transport mechanism (documentation provided). There are zero hours on the new tape transport. I have done a couple of eject cycles to verify its operation. The camcorder is shipped in its original box, and includes all of the original accessories (most of which are unused and still in their original packaging; even the owner's manual is still shrink-wrapped). The built-in stereo microphone on many heavily-used XH A1 camcorders often becomes overly loose and floppy from poor storage and handling. This one however still has just the right degree of up & down and rotational flex. That's because I've taken very good care of this camera! This kit also includes a VariZoom VZ-Pro-L remote lens controller ($250 value), a new carrying / storage bag ($180 value), a travel charger and two high-capacity batteries (third-party, $90 value), ten new Canon Mini-DV cassettes with storage rack, one new Canon HDV Master Quality cassette, one new Canon head cleaning cassette, two FireWire cables, two extra SD cards to store your Custom Preset files library, an SD card reader in case you don't already have one, and a variety of Canon-branded swag to enhance the package, including a very nice and relatively rare Canon-branded zippered business portfolio with pen, paper pad and a variety of pockets. And there's much more! Here are the entire kit contents: Canon XH A1 High Definition Camcorder, in original box, with all original accessories (most are new and unwrapped): -- DC Coupler DC-920 -- Component VIdeo Cable DTC-1000 -- Stereo A/V Cable STV-250N -- Wireless Controller WL-D5000 -- Shoulder Strap SS-1000 -- Battery Pack BP-950G -- 16MB SD Card SD-16M -- Compact Power Adapter CA-920 with AC Cable -- 2-AA Size Batteries -- Lens Cap -- Lens Hood -- Operator's Manual -- Warranty Card VariZoom Pro-L remote lens controller (new & unused) Strut Cases DVT-3 Reporter camera bag, branded DV Info Net, w/ sling (new & unused) 2 x Canon 16MB SD memory cards with dual case, to store your extra Custom Preset files 10 x Canon DVM-E60 Mini-DV 60min. cassette tapes, each new in shrinkwrap, with Bryco DV tape storage rack 1 x Canon HDVM-E63PR Digital Master HDV 63min. cassette tape, new in clamshell box 1 x Canon DVM-CL Mini-DV head cleaning cassette, new in shrink-wrap 2 x third-party BP-970G Canon-compatible high-capacity batteries, new in shrinkwrap and plastic boxes 1 x third-party CG-900 Canon-compatible travel charger for BP-9xx series batteries, new in shrinkwrap, incl. It is an ideal solution for someone who is looking to move up to the world of shooting HD with a professional three-chip camcorder. All you need to add is a good pro video tripod and your choice of microphones. This very well equipped XH A1 kit will be sent to you in two separate packages. One will contain the camcorder (and its standard included accessories) in its original box, in other words, the camcorder will be double-boxed for protection during shipping. The other package will contain the Strut Cases DVT-3 Reporter camera bag. Everything else in this kit, including the VariZoom controller, the tapes, the extra batteries and all the swag etc., will be tucked inside the camera bag. The Canon-branded portfolio will be included in the same box as this bag. NOTE: Sorry but I will not break up this kit. Everything I've included goes well with the XH A1, and it's too much of a hassle to sell anything separately. If there's something in this kit that you don't need or want, consider giving it to a friend, or sell it yourself. NOTE: This is available to U.S. residents ONLY. This kit consists of two fairly large boxes and unfortunately it is not at all practical to ship them to Canada (due to customs charges) or overseas (due to the extra shipping expense). Sorry but I will not answer requests to ship this kit outside of the United States. Price is $1500 which includes shipping on both boxes. Payment by PayPal or bank-issued cashier's check only. Sorry, no wire transfers! Chris Hurd November 28th, 2012, 10:33 PM Pics of Strut Cases DVT-3 Reporter camera bag plus proof of service by CPS. Stuart Wilson November 29th, 2012, 10:14 AM Just a quick bit of feedback for Paul I bought the lens and remotes from Paul. We chatted by mail and phone a couple of times. I can say that the items arrived exactly as described, and extremely well packed. Paul was a pleasure to deal with throughout. Here are some photos: Victor Guzman January 1st, 2013, 12:07 PM Indeed, thanks to everyones input. I myself like to shop around and get the best deal. I am a big ebay purchaser myself! I find something I want, then go straight to ebay to price match. Heres the deal though, I would never purchase a video camera or the higher expensive items on there. none the less, the camera is still up for sale, if you have any questions or possible offers please PM, email, or text me. It's not really fair to jump on a sale post and claim you can find it cheaper elsewhere. What is the motive of your post? if you want to get it cheaper message me, don't flood this thread with a debate on price. thanks and happy new year everyone!:) also camera run time: OPERATION 49X10H, DRUM RUN 39X10H, TAPE RUN 19X10H, THREADING 47X10H Nate Haustein January 1st, 2013, 12:32 PM More things added: RODE VideoMic - $100 Genus GMB/A 15mm Rod System - $90 Tilta T-03 Baseplate w/ 8" rods - $265 Corey Benoit January 1st, 2013, 02:18 PM $2200 for this nice kit! Jim Nogueira January 2nd, 2013, 11:51 AM Like new condition, and includes the original box, manuals and accessories. I am also including a Manfrotto Adapter cable ($23.24 at B&H) that allows connection to cameras with an AV-R plug. Asking $200, includes free continental USA shipping. From the manufacturer: The Manfrotto 521PROi is a camera controller designed specifically for the LANC protocol used by Sony and Canon camcorders. The unit can control many critical functions remotely, including power, zoom speed, record, and focus. The 521PROi comes equipped with the 522SCA 10" (25 cm) coiled cable which can extend up to 20" (50 cm.)The 521PRO enables you to control power, recording, zoom and focus. It also has a progressive zoom speed (the further you rotate the zoom wheel, the faster the zoom), a fixed zoom speed (irrespective of the rotation applied to the wheel, zoom speed remains constant), or a customizable maximum speed, which you can set to exactly the level you want. To set a "custom"zoom speed, simply hold the zoom speed button until the LED flashes and use the wheel to record your speed. The LED shows you which speed you have selected. Seth Bloombaum January 2nd, 2013, 03:51 PM email sent re: Genus GMB/A 15mm Rod System SB Ervin Farkas January 2nd, 2013, 09:43 PM Jim, A couple of questions. How tall is this tripod with all leg sections extended but without the central column? How would you rate the pan/tilt smoothness (for video) compared to say a Manfrotto 503 head? Thanks, Jim Nogueira January 3rd, 2013, 08:48 AM Hi Ervin, - It is 5 feet from the floor to the top of the head/camera plate with all leg sections extended but without the central column. -I have a Manfrotto 501 head, and I think that it is comparable to that in terms of pan/tilt smoothness. There are no pan/tilt drag adjustments on the 3063 like on the 501, just pan/tilt locks. I would say that the pan tilt smoothness is comparable to a midpoint pan/tilt drag setting on the 501, which for me is perfect. But If you prefer adjustable pan/tilt drag, then you need to look at a more expensive head. I have used this setup for years as both a backup and as a main tripod/head setup, with everything from full sized shoulder mount to compact handycams, and it has served me well. Hope this helps. Jim Chris Davis January 3rd, 2013, 11:32 AM Open to offers. Bill Grant January 3rd, 2013, 01:16 PM Chris, would you piece out what you have there? Maybe list what you'd charge?
