I'm a bit confused by this ad:

- How much are you asking for these? I thought you are supposed to quote a price when posting here though Maybe I'm wrong.

- I'm a little confused by the picture and description. Are these the same as the basic Switronics or Swit batteries (S-8U62) that have a cable built in that has a Sony power plug attached? (I don't see the Sony power cable in the picture.)

- Is the D-tap to Limo just an additional cable supplied if you happen to have a Swit light or something else that uses L:imo?

- How old are the batteries and how heavily have they been used. I'd never buy a used battery without knowing its age.

- What make and model is the Sony charger you're selling?

1. The price is right there in the title.

2. Yes, Swit batteries (S-8U62) with Sony power plug/cable cable. The cable is there shown in the photo, it doesn't dangle loose when not in use, it stores neatly wrapped around the battery by design when not in use.

3. It's always the devices that contain the D-tap power cables, not the battery.

4. Purchased in 2010. Not heavily used considering I had 4 of them and I also shared time with 2 Sony batteries when D-tap was not needed.

5. It's a Sony BC-U1. I terminated the camera power supply cable. It's strictly batter charger functionality.

Looking to go “tapeless”?

My Canon Vixia HF100's are not seeing any use these days so one of them is up for sale.

$250 - has seen only light use and been well protected and cared for. Comes with original box, manual, Canon BP809 battery with AC adapter/charger, component & AV cables, and Canon software disk. Everything that originally came with the camera.

Extras I'm including that did NOT originally come with the camera: BP819 extended battery, 37-52mm stepup ring, 52mm Hoya HMC UV filter (has been installed since the camera was new to keep dust, pollutants, and moisture out of the lens and self closing lens cap blades), a Hoodman 300 LCD hood with 2x magnifyer, 2 4GB PNY Class (4) SDHC cards, and a Hama rectangular lens hood (can't get this hood anymore) with cap.

This camera runs happily on either PNY or SanDisk Class (4) or Class (6) SDHC cards and does nice sharp 1920x1080 60i, 24p and 30p both in 60i wrapper, and does 3MP stills. External mic input (I used Rode VideoMic and Rode SVM with very good results), headphone jack for audio monitoring. This can be a very good stepup from HV series cameras.

Here is a sample video done with it for thewindcutter.com when I was field testing prototype ZoomH1 Windjackets for them. Watch it from vimeo if you can, embedding here makes the IQ more than a bit "mushy".

This case has carried gear for almost 10 years - and although the outside is showing some age, the interior and dividers are still in great shape. I've recently downsized to the smaller Pelican 1560, and the 1620 now sits on a shelf.
