Good day all! I am in need of a talented 2nd shooter, and possibly 3rd assistant for an upcoming wedding in Dallas, TX on April 21. Here's what I need, since I may fly and will be traveling light:

1. EXPERIENCE shooting weddings
2. preferred DSLR shooter, must have own gear, preferably fast primes
3. 2-3 tripods with Bogen heads, slider, glidecam, and if you have a crane great!
4. website with completed samples of work

As of now, I am debating on driving vs flying. IF I fly, I want to travel light as I can, which means me bringing one camera and audio gear, or 2 DSLRs. Basically only one bag of gear on the plane. Checking additional bags, or shipping stuff is just too much trouble. I will need you for ALL Day saturday, and possibly friday night at the rehearsal dinner. Anyone interested, please send me your information with gear, rate and availability. I want to secure a crew as soon as possible so I can make travel arrangements. email me directly at shayes@insightbb.com. thanks!

Trying to get my feet wet in the industry, I have experience shooting a lot of weddings on my Canon XL h1a and GH2's - would be willing to literally work for food depending on the production - looking to network and meet other more successful professionals. Also looking for a way to get practice on steadicam stabilizers.

!! Yep, get in touch.

Anyone on this board or know of anyone in Ventura County, Ca. who is a talented wedding videographer? This is for a friend who asked me if I knew of anyone so I thought I would see if any of you have anyone who comes to mind? Wedding in July, I don't have any details.

Post here or e-mail me at capybara@verizon.net

Thanks,

Looking for a videographer with at least two HD cameras and experience recording live, staged events to work in my place. Think choral concerts, instrumental recitals, band concerts, etc.

Gigs on January 26, February 3, and February 4. More work in the spring.

Fee depends on the complexity, budget, and needs of the gig, but these are not corporate clients. If you are well-established, there is a good chance I won't be able to hire you. Please write anyways.

Please send an email (found on my website in my signature) with an introduction and a few examples of your work.

Thank you.

Hello everyone!

For the last few months I've been developing the story of Quantum Zeno: an adventurous, absurdist film about the unpredictability of emotions. The film is in pre-production.

Quantum Zeno is set in a world where emotions have a physical result. When you're angry a lamp breaks or your coffee suddenly starts to boil. Everybody has these emo-chemical reactions, except our main character: Melle Berends. He thinks he has no emotions at all. But then his high school girlfriend breaks up with him. Suddenly, all his emotions bundle into a reaction that could destroy the world. His lovesickness attracts a comet. Het Genootschap van Emo-Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (the Bureau of Emo-Chemical Science) finds itself burdened with the task of mending Melle's broken heart. Before it's too late.

The story is mainly set in The Netherlands, where Melle lives. But the story also has scenes in the University of Sidney and the Pentagon. The film also contains a shot of the iconic antenna's near the DSC-complex in Barstow, USA. Our goal is to film all the indoor sets here in The Netherlands and use exterior shots made by local DOP's.

So my question to everyone on this great board is: is there anyone living in Washington, Sidney and near Barstow who is interested in making some beautiful exteriors of the places I described? It would certainly help to make the film more interesting.

Please let me know. You can also send me an e-mail: info[at]quantumzeno.nl

Thanks!

Now-a-days pointing a camera at the Pentagon is not a smart thing to do.

Hello Bruce,
I imagine you found someone for the Boca job but let me know if you ever want to get together and see if we can match my EX1R to your two Sony's. I'm guessing we could get very close with the scopes on my Panasonic monitor.

Thank You

Finally settled down outside Philadelphia and am just throwing my many hats into the ring for anybody out there that needs another able hand.

I am mostly experienced with live sports production (you name it, I've shot it) and have worked with Sony triax systems (cam [hxc-100, pmw-320], shader), Abekas replay, Tricaster (850CS switcher), DSLR (current cam is 7D), okay with steadicam, Panasonic P2 (HVX200, HPX170, etc), JVC HM700, Sony NX5U, and the list goes on with the cams.

I am also very proficient in FCP7, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator. Good with AE (I refuse to call myself great with it - developed motion graphics package for collegiate sports with it and use it for aesthetic video effects, see reel). Working knowledge of Motion and Redcinepro. And as a side note I am also experienced in designing print work/marketing collateral for distribution (worked in marketing for a while).

Demo reel can be found here - https://vimeo.com/34861552

I do not have any of my live broadcast work in it, but I would be glad to talk to anybody who wants to get in touch for a project/event ahead of time... Appreciate you looking!

I'm looking for a videographer in or near Florence, Italy who might be persuaded to provide one lovely HD clip of a street with restaurants at dusk / sundown.

I can't figure out how to search for users by geography, so I'm posting here in hopes you might find it.

cheers,

Jim

Thanks for the reply. My direct email is jim at turnipvideo dot com. My need is not urgent - I am doing a short film in which the last scene is the family eating in a restaurant in Florence. I need one or two good shots that establish Florence on a nice evening, any street that has a restaurant or two, possibly a tourist area. But I don't expect to need it to assemble until a few months from now, in May. The film is being shot on DSLR but any good HD clip will work. What do you shoot with? Are you able to record one clip that is NTSC HD? (24p) If not, I can live with 25fps for full HD.

cheers,

Jim

A client/friend of mine in Minnesota needs someone to produce a medical product training video for them in the twin cities area. Since I am based in Florida, we figured it would be more cost effective to find someone in that area rather than fly me up. The project is in the planning stage right now. It would involve shooting a trainer with the product, some green screen I'm told, and the editing. If you are in that area and interested, please send me your info and I'll pass it on. I won't be involved in the project in any way. Thanks.
