Ignore this found soulution!!!

I would like to seperate the two channels so I can work on them independantly, or in one case remove a channel.

I have not hadd to do this sense I came to Vegas and be darned if I can figure how to do it, in the manual I ve not found the needed info.

There is a script that will seperate the L and R channels to seperate tracks OR copy the audio track (both channels) place the copy on another track. Right click on each of the tracks (one at a time) and set one to LEFT only and the other to RIGHT only.
I recommend to label the tracks then (in the track header) so as not to get them confused.

BTW, Pro 9 has an option that allows you to import a stereo track as dual mono tracks.
They're panned hard left and right upon import though so I always end up having to centre them.

Depending on what you need to do, there are a number of possibilities I tend to separately process most of my audio then add it to the timeline, but you could put the track into your timeline twice, then pan one full left, and one full right.
