'Reddog' wraps up in WA
Saturday, June 05, 2010 » 12:37pm
The filming of a new Australian feature film has wrapped up in Western Australia.
Red Dog is based on an award-winning Australian book and tells the story of a Kelpie cross who unities remote communities.
The film showcases the state's Pilbara region, and stars Josh Lucas and Rachel Taylor.
But it's Red Dog played by Koko that's the real star.
Red Dog will be released in cinemas across Australia, next Easter.
-----------------------------------------
My recall of the legendary stray redcloud cattle dog who was the subject of the original book, is that he was a bit scruffier than the star in the movie in living his nomadic existence.
To my regret, I must confess that I passed him between Karratha and the LIA. I thought he was one of the locals and did not stop to give him a ride.
