Does anybody of you use a XHA1 together with a Sony HXR-NX5? I have the opportunity to buy an almost new NX5E for about half the new price and I think that's an opportunity I can't let go. But I wonder if the footage of both camera's can easily be matched. Be it in the presets or in post (I use Sony Vegas 9 Pro).

See my post in the XH-A1 forum thread on this topic.

The NX5 produces a better and slightly cleaner image than the XH-A1 imo. Plus 60p, tapeless, PCM audio, etc.

Agreed but what do you suggest for matching up the footage when you already have an XH-A1 and you buy an NX5u and plan on using the two cameras together?
Or are you suggesting that you think that there is no point to even trying to use the cameras together?

Jay, I'm using my 2 NX5Us along with my XH-A1s and it's really not a problem. I edit in Sony Vegas and the mix quite well. Of course you'll have different image characteristics to deal with in post but it's not a big problem. Some fairly basic color correction and contrast settings, etc. should do the trick.
