Using XDcam transfer to review clips and designate best ones to eventually bring into FCP. Also titling the clips, making notes and designating subclips with in and out points. Hitting save after work is done and before closing XDcam transfer.

The problem is when I reopen XDcam although the clip designations remain, the notes and subclips are all gone.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Haven't verified if this would be the case BUT was the media physically "locked'? If you locked the actual cards and did not perform the transfer, it could appear to indicate that your save took place when it didn't. You ejected and then eventually reinserted the cards to find your metadata wasn't saved. Just a hunch.
