Hey guys, I want to share my second attempt at a prewed love story and wedding trailer video.

The theme of their wedding day was CANDYLAND. So I tried as much as possible getting all the joy that was captured during the day. It's my first time too using a Merlin with my 7D so it may not be the best fly ever. I need more practice.

Now, the prewed love story is quite long (11 mins) although it wasn't really my plan but I can't do much about it. Client wants all the thank you notes in there so I had to follow what they want. At least they were happy and so does the audiences. I don't mind if you skip through the footages but let me know what you think :)

Was thinking; moving forward, mixing a cinematic love story and a interview type love story may not be a great idea after all.. I tried to make something different, but it drags the time too long.. my storytelling skill still need lots of learning too

Anyway, hope you can drop me constructive feedbacks. Many thanks! :)

Great job Johannes ! for some reason i felt it had that Aussie style to the video which is great..there are a lot of great wedding filmmakers in Australia..
Don't sweat the lovestory, it was fine and the length i believe is about the average length for this type of production... hopefully you'll be charging more for your services :)

Thanks Kren!

I'm not sure how you get the aussie style vibe but good to know that I'm part of the local style ;)

Anyway thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I did put up my prices (almost double) this month.. but still at a reasonable rate. Hope I'm still getting a positive response with this. :)

Cheers,

John

Oh my goodness Johannes! This is great work, AND looking at your most recent work, I see how much you've grown and developed in your film-making abilities. You give me such hope! I'm so impressed by how much you've improved, and you started off so well anyway!

Hi Lisa. Thank you so much for the encouraging words! This video was done in May 2009 with such limited experience & tools. There's been a lot of hardwork and investment made since then and I'm very glad it has shown its result. :)

It certainly has shown some most excellent results!
