EG, the M-AUDIO - ProFire 610 - High-Definition 6-in/10-out FireWire Audio Interface with Octane Preamp Technology (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProFire610.html) has two mic preamps, and 10 line-level analog outputs. I have the earlier FW410, it works fine for this application. Plus, when you eventually get a computer that doesn't have PCI, it still works. Street price about $365... M-audio has a good record of maintaining mac and pc drivers for their products (very important!), and, this one can also serve as a hardware host for ProTools M-Powered versions.
