View Full Version : HDMI-out dead after sleep mode

Dear Dan,

When it first happened, and thought it might have been just some intermittent connection problem between my nanFlash HDMI-out and the monitor, but now I'm certain that sometimes - when recording starts after the nanoFlash has entered the power saving mode - it will not send the video signal through HDMI loop-out.

What I have to do in such case is either reboot the nano, or at least stop recording, press the Play button for the nanoFlash to start playback (which sort of "wakes up" the HDMI-out), press Stop - and when I restart recording, the loop-through HDMI monitor is functional again.

Do you think it can be cured in future firmware releases?

Thanks,

Piotr

Dear Priotr,

Thank you for reporting this.

We have been working on problems coming out of "Power Saving" Mode.

We found that some CompactFlash card take longer than expected, and longer than we have allowed for in the program.

We programmed a fix for this problem and tested it on quite a few nanoFlashes overnight.

This fix will be in our next release.

In the meantime, one can avoid this problem by turning off the Power Saving mode.
