Pinknoise 5D2 Audio Cable Test on Vimeo

Received my pinknoise -25db cable and I thought it worked a blast!! The video above is a short extract from a short documentary I'm working on. I didnt touch up the tracks yet.. only pulled up the gain to hover around -6db.

this workflow is awesome for me to get decent audio without the hassle of syncing in post. Best thing is the zoom need not be recording, just turn it on standby mode and the audio goes into the 5D. Obviously I wouldnt go that way for an event but its nice to have options. Only issue is being unable to monitor the audio input on the fly. That 3.5mm jack does loosen up at times

Had a listen with headphones n i noticed the noise on the 5D due to the poor pre amps. Now I'm wondering if I should get the TASCAM DR-100 for the fact that it can monitor from the headphones while feeding the other line to the 5D2.

Go directly to the Juiced Link (http://www.juicedlink.com/) solution for this as theirs is the best quality one you can get. Plenty of demo / training videos on their site, too.

Yeah, through my regular Senn HD238's I heard a definite difference. Should be an easy hiss to remove with some tweaks though.
