Hello,
I want to combine footage of HV20 and Canon 550d. I use Avid Media Composer. Is there a workflow to do this? The HV20 produces 1440 res where the 550d produces a real 1920 res. That is probably the biggest challenge in this. Must I transcode?

Probably not; most NLE's can handle mixed resolutions.

But you need to ask the question in the Avid sub-forum, you will get a better answer there from those actually using AMC.
