Can you recommend laptops and/or desktops (pc and mac) and editing software (e.g. Final Cut / Avid) that can edit with mxf 50mbps long gop files (nanoflash)? I am looking for a broad production range to be able to edit and create dvd's and export files.

My LCD monitor is HP 2159m. Also my budget is under £3000.

My initial impression is that there is a figure missing in your budget. GBP 3,000 may be enough for a desktop, but not inclusive of the software. CS5 may be an option.
