Ok, so I finally completed my first project with Vegas Pro9c I ended up making two different edits of the same project / film.
My problem now is that I want to just collect together all the media used in those edits and discard the rest so that I can more easily archive the relevant media files in case I decide to do any further edits in the future (being a family history subject, I may well do so).
However, I seem to have got myself into one hell of a mess with the media files with my media being in various sub-folders which, at the time, seemed logical but now have created a nightmare of files, some duplicated and some, such as music files, that are named the same except for the duration time included in the file name i.e. intro35.mp3 meaning the intro music at 35seconds (I also have two others ar 25 and 30 - I can't remember which I actually used (I know clicking on the event will tell me).
Is there any hope for me? Is there an easy way out? or do I have to click on every event to get the file name and delete all others that way?
Also, do I have to keep the folder structure the same or if I open the archived project in the future would Vegas be able to find the various media files if they were all in the same folder?
