Did anyone used this product to create slow motion from interlaced footage, get 1080p50 from 1080i50, or 60p from 60i?

The product converts in superb way each field to frame. Created 1080p60 can then be used create motion from 24 to 120 fps, for 120 fps you use image interpolation.

Changing 1080p50 to 1080p25 supposedly creating better deinterlacer than straight from 1080i50 to 1080p25.

Would the 1080p25 image be better quality than 1080p25 created from JVC's HD100 HDV, would be better for film out?

I tried this product as well as other products from them years ago and they were nice but very slow at rendering. If you treat footage with care it may have higher quality but it will take a very long time to render. It might be fine for short film projects but I would hate to have to render for weeks a 2 hour movie.

Could use several PC's, split film to parts. If could get decent 1080p out of FX1/Z1/HC1/A1 for film out, why not.

Well just try it out. Download the trial version and try it out on a small HDV file and see how long it takes and if it is worth it.

Deinterlacing flat out doesnt work and if you want 24p get the JVC HD100 camera. Deinterlacing will always give you that doctored look because it is simply impossible to recreate information that does not exist. For example if you shot a picture of a circle and all you had was 4 pixels of information if you use interpolation and you upconvert you would end up with a square and not a circle. Or if you had 8 pixels of information for your circle and you tried to upconvert you would end up with an octagon.
