Hey all,
I am in the process of creating a short 20 film.

I am basically looking for helpful information regarding PERMITS while shooting in the city (small crew/cast and non interference with the public, aka not shutting down streets, etc)

Also, FILM FESTIVALS.
Suggestions would be great. I ve been stick in event and corporate videography so long I doubt I know the main ones or whats out there. Entree fees, prizes, deadlines, etc....

I am probably going to use the Sony EX1r CAMERA or possibly something better, The film will be in HD.

CREW suggestions? I am directing and the cinematographer, figure we need sound man, clapper person, and thats about it besides a make up person. Suggestions?

All thoughts and comments regarding making your own 20 minute film that requires some public places (like San Fransciso) would be appreciated.

Best,
S

Thanks Chris!

Still working on finding out about insurance for the shoot....might be over our budget for this possibly.

Looks like permits in Placer county are free though, which is nice
