As soon as the Slate comes out I'm buying it. Since I use a T2i I will be installing the EOS utility on the Slate and then I can control focus, aperature, shutter speed, whitebalance, ect. all through the USB connection :)

Have you ever tried shooting with the usb tether? The lag is pretty painful. Fine for setups, but framing and focus, the delay would drive me nuts.

Vaporware status of the Slate aside, I just dont see any tablets coming out with hdmi *input*.

But as long as a computer has USB 3, the new Blackmagic Intensity box coming out can turn it into a crude field monitor.
