My only experience with Vegas has been with Vegas 6.0d.

With Windows 7 64, I have not been able to get it to install.

I am not a power user by any means and do not think I need the latest, greatest version.

What I do hear on this forum is how stable 8.0c is.

Does anyone know where I might can get this Vegas version as an upgrade?

I will be working with the 7D's MOV file format.

You would have to find someone selling a copy of 8.0. There may be some resellers with a copy of 8 left. If you purchase from an individual, you probably would not be able to use that version in a future upgrade.

Personally, I'm using 9.0 64-bit version and it's doing great for what I do. Plus it's already been announced that a 9.0d version will be shown at NAB.

Found a new copy for $99.

That will suit my needs for a long time.
