Brittani Pena March 29th, 2004, 07:38 PM Still looking.... Please contact me if you have one. Keep your batteries charged and your view finder clear! Jake McMurray March 29th, 2004, 07:43 PM probably about $150 shipped depending on where you live but I need to see if I can sell as a system first before I part it out. Give me a few days. Thanks. Aaron Kwinter March 29th, 2004, 07:49 PM Regrettably I must sell my black GS100 that I purchased from PriceJapan less than one month ago. It is in absolutely perfect condition and only the camera, battery and charger were temporarily removed from the box to try the camera out. Actually, so far I have only been able to use the camera for a total of about 15 minutes. As most of you know, it is a beauty and I am sorry to be parting with it. I am hoping to recoup what it cost me and thought that I would post here on the board first to see if anyone was interested. Please email me if you have any interest. Thanks Jake McMurray March 29th, 2004, 07:57 PM Thanks Frank, Hate to part with it but I'm upgrading to something nicer. Maybe I should list it on a new thread. Frank Granovski March 29th, 2004, 08:04 PM Jake, list it on the sell forum. Regarding a 3 chip with good controls, here are some: Sony VX2100 - great "low light" Sony PDX10 - great audio + XLRs + great widescreen Canon GL2 - frame mode Panasonic PV-DV953 - frame mode + cheapest of the bunch Rodd Seifarth March 29th, 2004, 08:16 PM What are you asking Christian? Christian Collins March 29th, 2004, 08:25 PM $1900 for everything including shipping. Joe Lloyd March 29th, 2004, 09:30 PM Hi Chris, probably a long shot, but did this go in an auction? Cheers Chris Hurd March 29th, 2004, 10:14 PM Indeed it did, sorry. Michael Summers March 29th, 2004, 10:17 PM my suggestion and the one i would go with if i had around 600 dollars would be to buy a used but reliable TRV900-950 (although i think the 950s are more than 600 on ebay). if it looks like its been used a little too much, look for one thats hasnt been, if there isnt, shell out 50 bucks for a new tape head. Frank Granovski March 29th, 2004, 11:06 PM The used TRV900 suggestion is good. Finding one in good shape may be difficult though. B&H has a used gear dept. Dylan Couper March 29th, 2004, 11:07 PM Both of my 14x manual lenses are still available. Don Berube March 29th, 2004, 11:26 PM Greetings, I'm selling my spare Tiffen TELE2X Wide Angle Viewfinder for the CANON XL1S B&W Viewfinder and IKEGAMI Camcorders in As-New condition with original packaging from Tiffen. No scratches or defects. Model WAVFIKEGAMI http://www.tiffen.com/tele2x.htm This works ONLY with the BLACK & WHITE VIEWFINDER (which is made by IKEGAMI) and also with IKEGAMI viewfinders.... This DOES NOT work with the XL1S color Viewfinder. This is my spare which is like new. I use my TELE2X about 90% of the time! Magnifies your viewfinder image - it's like having a built-in studio viewfinder on your camera and like adding a high resolution B&W flip-out screen to your XL1S. http://noisybrain.com/firestore/donberube_concept2 Easily mounts in place of your standard viewfinder tube. Sells for $299 new - will sell for only $240/BO with original packaging in As-New condition. The Tele2X Viewfinder magnifies the image in a video camera viewfinder, so that the operator can still see the entire frame clearly without having to keep an eye pressed against the viewfinder. The camera can be held comfortably away from the eye at all times by alleviating eye strain & prevents neck and back injury from close-up viewing; this is a safety feature for camera operators in situations where they could be jostled by crowds. The Tele2x Viewfinder, which fits most Ikegami models, also lets the operator raise or lower the camera while still keeping the full frame in view. If interested, contact me at "don@NOSPAMnoisybrain.com". (remove "NOSPAM" when emailing...) I'd love to rent them out and make some money back (they are freakin expensive), but at the same time I feel a little guilty about taking money from TT. I'm telling you, these discs are awesome. Joe Lloyd March 30th, 2004, 01:52 PM Hi Don, I'd be interested in both, do you have a screen grab or picture of something taken with the 8mm peleng lens? Jim Sofranko March 30th, 2004, 05:27 PM Still for sale?? Don Berube March 30th, 2004, 05:32 PM Sorry Jim, It has been sold. Thanks! - don Christian Collins March 30th, 2004, 06:54 PM Ok $1850 I have pictures also, if interested. Don Berube March 30th, 2004, 07:44 PM Hello John, Thank you for expressing an interest in the Optex PL-XL1 lens adaptor and the Peleng 8mm Fish Eye 35mm lens I am selling as described in my first post. Here are pictures which I just took of the adaptor and lens - taken with my trusty 'ol PowerShot s300: http://noisybrain.com/optex_peleng8 Here's a music video by Cat Power called "He War" which was directed by Brett Vapnek and shot with the Canon XL1S using a PL-XL1 lens adaptor and film lenses. http://www.matadorrecords.com/cat_power/music.html First, turn your volume up loud - then CLICK on either high (broadband) or low (dialup) I think this music video gives you a good example of what to expect. Feel free to let me know what you think and if you have any additional questions. Thank you! - don Don Berube March 30th, 2004, 07:59 PM Here's something I shot with an Angenieux 10-150mm on the Xl1s: Again, TURN UP your volume and then click on the link http://noisybrain.com/SDTV/PL-XL/moon_jet_angenieux10-150.mov How about some *silent* B-roll I quickly shot one Sunday last Summer on the Charles River just as a week-long rainfall had subsided by the late morning and the sky had cleared up by early afternoon, it was very windy though! http://noisybrain.com/SDTV/PL-XL/charles_river.mov Both the Optex PL-XL1 adaptor and the Pelend 8mm Fisheye are still for sale as described here: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23775 If interested, shoot me an email, Thanks! - don Adam Burtle March 30th, 2004, 08:04 PM don, your last link is a duplicate of the first angenieux one. also, the cat power video is in RAM format, which is a shame because i wanted to see it, but i'm not willing to put Realplayer on my machine haha.. lastly, might be a good idea to post some FULL size video, as opposed to 320x240 or whatever the .mov links were, simply because it's hard to see the disparity in sharpness / clarity of a 35mm lens vs. the XL1s when the video is so tiny. (just a constructive thought) Don Berube March 30th, 2004, 08:09 PM Hi Adam, Thanks for your input. Link was corrected! I'll see what I can do about full-size clips - although if you actually take a look see - you'll see the difference. I use RealOne Player (Real Player 10) which is eons and eons and eons better than the standard Real Player that you are thinking of - no advertising too. http://www.real.com http://www.cissme.com/bgroup-us/rm/matador/catpo/video/ole427-2-07_rvh.ram Using high end glass such as a Zeiss SuperSpeed is going to yield a higher end, more resolute and more "cinematic-looking" image with a more supple taper on the depth of field (provided you know how to shoot well). Zeiss Super Speeds are my favorite for use with the PL-XL1 adaptor. Best, - don George Lujan March 30th, 2004, 11:04 PM I'm looking to buy a canon GL1 or GL2. please e-mail me with info and pictures if possible at digital8182001@yahoo.com thanks George lujan Bernard Diaz March 30th, 2004, 11:11 PM Jim, I have the same LIGHTWAVE SI-XL System Isolator adaptor for the Canon XL1S color viewfinder as well. Will email you. Kevin Burnfield March 31st, 2004, 07:25 AM can you give us a link to where we can look at the unit and the specs for it? Mark Whalen March 31st, 2004, 08:48 AM Sure. The manufacturer's link is: www.signvideo.com/production_video_equipment_menu.htm Both devices are listed on that page. Stephen Sherman March 31st, 2004, 09:35 AM Still looking anyone got one?
