will the nanoflash work with the nxcam? where do you plug it in. i would think the footage would look excellant if using this in comparison to ex1r if lighting is equal

Although probably similar, you won't really be able to compare the footage from an EX1R and the NX5 - the EX1 has larger, full-raster sensors (NX5 only has 960 x 1080 sensors which then interpolate to give 1920 x 1080). It has been said that XDCAM EX at 35MBit/s is very similar to AVCHD at 24MBit/s, so I don't think the codec is really the problem if you're trying to compare them. |
