View Full Version : Sticking point, is there a way out?

I have an interest in the Infrared lit recording of the behaviour of small animals. To do this I use small monochrome cameras with composite output. The cameras have no viewfinder or means of recording so I connect the camera’s composite output to an EyeTV Hybrid (made by Elgato). The EyeTV is connected to a MacBook Pro which I use as both viewfinder and recorder. The recordings are conveniently stored with date and time in the EyeTV Archive where there is provision for linear editing.

Clips can be exported from the Eye TV, for example, to FCP (I have 6.0.6). In FCP I can play and trim a clip in the browser and transfer it to Keynote which is where I want it in this instance (it reaches Keynote as a .mov file).

However if I want more than a single clip to make my point I get into trouble. As soon as I put one or more clips into the time-line the red render line appears and so far my attempts to render have failed.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Problem solved, I was misreading the rendering choices.
