View Full Version : last second of audio missing after neoscene transcode Ade Towell March 30th, 2010, 07:45 PM am transcoding from canon 550d to neoscene high quality avi, many of the avis have lost the last bit of sound, but it's there on the original footage - does anyone know a fix for this? thanks David Newman March 30th, 2010, 09:42 PM The sound has not been lost, it just doesn't get improved into CS4. That has been fixed internally. If the audio you need from the end, load the original audio from the MOV or use VirtualDub to export a WAV. Ade Towell March 31st, 2010, 04:06 AM ok thanks, its not that crucial for most clips but a bit of a work around, didn't realise this was normal Julian Frost March 31st, 2010, 03:09 PM I'm also having the same problem... Canon 5D mk II (firmware 2.0.4) 30 fps (IE. 29.97 fps) MOV files which are transcoded by NeoScene v1.6.0.140 lose the last one second of audio. This did not happen with NeoScene when the Canon MOVs were 30fps. I'm using Premier Pro CS3. Will this be fixed in a NeoScene update? David Newman March 31st, 2010, 04:37 PM Maybe. It is a different issue as you are talking about CS3, the fix was in CS4. Graham Hickling April 1st, 2010, 08:38 AM Quote: The sound has not been lost, it just doesn't get improved into CS4. I still have this issue with CFHD's converted from avchd from two different cameras (HMC40 and Canon HF10) and I have the latest updates that I'm aware of (Prospect 430b240 and CS4.2.1). David Newman April 1st, 2010, 09:28 AM Fixed by CineForm, it has not been released yet. Graham Hickling April 1st, 2010, 09:36 AM Good news - thanks! |
