This weekend I was playing around with some new toys I got, and decided since I had all three of these DSLRs around me to see how they do in a low light test. So, I put the same settings and lens on all of them and shot a test.
See what you think. Any other tests you guys interested in seeing? I have another test coming that compares old FD glass and Pentax on them as well.

Something isn't right here I don't know but from what I have seen and report from other, 5D is about 1/2 stop faster than 7D but in your test it is darker.

this is very helpful (considering my last post)- the rebel does quite well when it has a fast lens on it... really nice!

I don't know what to make of this video -- the distances are different on the cameras, and the colors are different as well, especially the blue cast with the t2i

Tripod is in the same position for all three tests, yes it got shifted a little in the framing though. The 5D of course will look different since it is full framed. The T2i was on the wrong white balance settings so I tried as best as I could to make it match the others.

Be careful calling them toys, I got shot down in flames for that ;0)

You know what the op means by toys! Lol I think the way said 'toy' was more like, 'this thing is nothing more than a toy' than an 'I got a new exciting toy!!' ... did that even makes sense? lol
Anyways, thanks for the video! Did you see the great shoot out(zacuto)?

I encourage everyone to take a look at the first Zacuto shootout video. They do low light tests with candle light with these same cameras (thought the T2i is to come in episode 2). I'll have to take a look at it up against this video.
