View Full Version : I'm a little confused on the Canon HF10 output

I read on a post on Apple's website that the Canon HF10 outputs to final cut in 60I. This regardless if you record in 30p. Because of this, I still have to deinterlace my project. I'm losing the point there a little. I found a work around where when FC states that my easy setup sequence settings don't match the video and asks if I want to change them, I say no. (This when I shot the 30p video)

Also on a related topic. When using any video in FCP, if I just set the frame dominance to "none" that solves the problem for most all video. So is that the best thing to do or am I taking a quality hit?

Thanks
Bryan
