Found this in my RSS feed today. Not out yet, but with 5 hours of battery life, all sorts of connectivity (including mini-HDMI), and a (rumored) sub-$350 price point, this little 13.3" screen would be a perfect addition to the gear bag for focus pulling.

Any other screens this cheap or cheaper that people are using out there? I'd love to find a smaller one than this, but they all seem to be about twice this price.

For a bit more, you could buy an iPad. Would that work?

If someone created an app that utilized the USB port.

Yeah, I'm hopeful someone can work out an iPad solution.

Even so, 13 inches is pretty darned big, thinking of some kind of a portable rig. My 7" monitor seems quite large enough, if only we could get HD out during recording!!

That's a nice monitor. Love LEDs.

I thought the iPad only had the dock connector, no USB, it would need to interface with the dock connector or use a USB dock adapter that Apple will love to sell you for an arm and a leg :P

Looks awesome, only thing I dislike about it is that even though they say you can use it with your camera, they haven't included any type of mount or holes or anything you could use to attach it to your camera...

Its 13 inches wide, what the hell would you want that thing sitting on top of your camera for ??? Would be ok on a tripod mounted monitor bracket.

near impossible for run and gun but for a controlled shoot...hell yeah! I'll make a tripod mount for it!

Pretty good product!!!
for such as good price --

If they market the monitor for Indy Filmmakers - they can easily be successful..

I don't want to pay $1000 bucks for a monitor --
SmallHD lied -- they went from $450 announced price to $950 --

Anyone knows when this monitor is going to be available?
