Hello, was wondering if anybody experienced this and has a solution.
I captured my clips (7D, 24p) through HDlink (resized to 1280x720). Brought them into the appropriate sequence in Prem cs4. However when I use AME to export them via Cineform AVI upon playback the audio is sped up chipmunk style while the video plays normal.
Any solutions for this, before i go the help ticket route? Thanks

I get this all the time....
not sure what causes it, but it's an easy fix
render the video, then export a .wav file from AME of the exact same video
run the video through virtuadub using 'direct stream copy' and for the audio same thing I think but it let's you pick a file....which would be your new .wav
that way you have a newly muxed avi with no recompression, and it only takes a moment

Same problem here. Using the NeoScene trial. The video plays fine, but the audio is noticeably faster. Just curious if the problem lies in the software or in the operator.

Welcome to virtualdub.org! - virtualdub.org (http://www.virtualdub.org/)
highly recommend it....
very useful (and free)
only drawback is it's only 8 bit....which is fine in most circumstances

I've finally seen this bug. It seems to be another CS4 bug (of course :) ), in which it sets the audio sample rate wrong. I have seen the audio be set to 32000 the summary when we only support 48000. It wrong for Premiere to set the audio that way. Here is the work around.
1) Set the export mode to "Audio Only"
2) Set the sample rate to "48kHz" and the output channels to "Stereo"
3) Switch back to "CineForm AVI"
Now you audio exports will work.
It seems as another audio output option fixes CS4 (we will do that in an upcoming release.)
