After getting the T2i yesterday afternoon, I thought I'd drag it along on a gluttonous outing to The Salt Lick (for barbecue) and to Gourdough's Doughnuts (for…well…donuts).

All footage was shot 1080/24p. Lenses used were the Canon 17-55mm f2.8 (barbecue) and the Canon 50mm f1.2L (donuts).

Again, this is just a fun test, that might make you hungry, to see what the T2i image is like indoors, outdoors and in low-light.

I'm in Austin, Texas. The Salt Lick is some of the best barbecue in the state (maybe the universe), and it's about ten minutes from my house, in Driftwood, Texas.

Gourdough's is just gluttony on a level I've never before seen. They operate out of a converted Airstream trailer on South Lamar Ave., across the street from the Alamo Drafthouse.

They don't know that kind of great BBQ up here in TN. If you have to add vinegar to the meat to make it moist then it ain't good BBQ! Nice job!
