Does the nano need to be powered up again after battery change..

Thanks

CD decided to take the power switch out to make the unit more reliable (read: idiot proof). The nanoFlash boots so fast and holds all the settings so powering back up isn't a problem. Once you start using it you will appreciate that it doesn't have a switch.

Dear Robin,

Yes, the nanoFlash powers up automatically after a battery change or when power is applied.

That is one of the two reasons why we removed the power switch. It is far better for a camera person not to have to remember to power up the nanoFlash when he or she changes the battery on the camera.

The other reason was that we were having reliablity problems with small number of power switches. Any failures of the switch make it impossible to power up the nanoFlash.

Thus, this was unacceptable to us, so we removed the power switch and made it power up automatically.
