I've been Googling everywhere but can't find any tape-based Varicam users who are using a Nanoflash?

1. I'm just courious about output and usability.
2. If you record 720 50P or 60P, can this be implemented in a 50i or 60i interlaced NLE?
3. What rez does the Varicam output to the Nanoflash?

I read somewhere that the H-series Varicam outputs 1080i 10-bit video via the HD-SDI but I can't confirm. Any help appreciated...

Cheers,
Peter

I will be using with a HDX900 soon.. and there are people already using with the HDX900 thats for sure.. maybe they are all working!!!

I believe the Nanoflash records 8 bit..

Dear Peter,

The nanoFlash accepts either 8-bit or 10-bit HD-SDI, and records 8-bit.

I don't think I've ever seen anything written about the initial tape-based Varicams that would lead me to believe it outputs 1080i over SDI...but I guess I've never tried it. It's been a while. I would think that since you have a 720p sensor, you'd get the best quality without scaling the footage up, though 720p59.94 would likely make better 1080i29.97 than 1080p29.97...
