Anyone able to recommend a company in the UK ( preferably in the north of England ) able to do a basic check and service on an XL1S I have, thinking of selling it. I love using it but the editing is SO BORING, all I want to do is film and I don't have the time !!

David, if you're thinking of selling the Canon, why go to the expense of a service? If the camera is performing well then a service will add very little to its value.

I was going to have a basic service done so that i could say so on the advert, it seems to be working fine but the heads probably need a clean and I'm not sure how efficient the cassette type cleaners are.

Anyway if anyone in the Uk interested in buying this with pro tripod let me know.
