Wow, I love this camera. The video looks sharper than the stills shot with a Nikon D300. Put it through its paces with time lapse, slow and fast motion, day and night shots. I found it easy to use although I did buy and watch the Doug Jensen DVD which helped quite a bit.
A few observations...going to need another battery as the stock doesn't last long enough. Also wish the slow motion was possible at the highest resolution although the 1280 x 720 is acceptable. The XDCAM format is easier to edit than I expected, much better than AVCHD, and the tapeless workflow rocks.
Was it worth the price? After seeing the quality it's capable of I would have to say yes.
