Just bought my T2i this monday morning 1st of march.

I have a Canon 50mm 1.8, a 85mm 1.8 and a few Nikon lens: 18mm 3.5, 35mm F2,
180mm F2.8. for audio its a rode nt-3*with Beachtek.

I am not shure If I will keep my Sony A1u but first it need to be repair, thats what motivate to bought the Canon, $500 of repair this time, and $400 last year. Also my Hc-7 give me the same or better image for a third of the price than the Sony A1u.
Only bad thing about the T2i is it look and feel very fragile, not a Hummer like the A1u, more a 70s Corvette that you only drive on sunday, and keep in your garage.

I will send a video test tonight

Congrats. Welcome to the Club.

Although I don't have one yet so I'm not the most certified person to welcome you in it as I'm not a full member yet, but you know what I mean :D

I'm not happy. The still images from my T2i are far superior to my 30D. Up until Sunday I was perfectly happy with my 30D, now I'm not.

Congrats. It's an awesome bit of kit for an amazing price. I also got a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Once I figured out that infinity was around 8' and that manual focus is better than even single point auto focus, I'm also very happy with my new lens.

I am learning the camera,
gone take one more day before I have my licence
of pro pilot of T2I. and one more day to be a video-Dslr ace
So far I am more happy to have a photo camera that kick... my eyes so much.

-the Live view with magnifier is wonderful
-3200 iso is operationnal(my standard and more)
lots of procedure sequence to change mode,or meter, aperture, self timer etc

take a confortable weekend to learn the T2i, or even a spring brake
Do not promise a video on a forum the same day you buy it.
do not expect to be ready the next morning for a contract.
keep your old video camera ready near you.

stupid video, but I had a hard time mastering the camera.
the 50mm 1.8 a MK1(metal) and a Mk2(plastic), are very bad on focus.
manual iso, aperture,shutter.

-1920x1080
-no correction on final cut 5.1.4 (1440x1080)
-uploaded on youtube 1280x720

more interresting video coming this week, this time a jazz concert.

D'of!! :P

Anyways, lovely video. Is that the cheap Canon 50mm? Like $100 or so? Cause it looks very good to me. Looks like I'm gonna save big on my first glass :P

yes its the 50mm 1.8
nice lens, but the focus ring is not precise, very sensitive.
I have to aurofocus then switch the lens to manual, then take care it don't move.
the best way is to manual focus and use magnify button.
that goes for the Mk1(metal) and Mk2(plastic) I own both.
the Nikon 50mm 1.8 serie E at $30 (used) will do a much better job!
