View Full Version : Anybody heard of Iconix? Marco Leavitt July 8th, 2005, 10:02 AM 1080p for about 10 grand. http://www.iconixvideo.com/products.htm Ken Hodson July 9th, 2005, 09:57 AM Man that camera is small ! I guess you would need quite the HDD setup to capture too. How good are C-mount lens's? At that size are they any good at distance? Looks like it might be a great tool in a indi-studio type environment. PS-where did you find the price? I couldn't see anything. James Darren July 9th, 2005, 10:37 AM please note:.... this camera does not exist..... they are only a start up company & are looking for investors so you can not currently buy, use, rent or test this cam... Marco Leavitt July 9th, 2005, 10:38 AM The $10,000 figure comes from a post at cinematography.com were I saw the Iconix link. I can't vouch for how accurate it is. Thomas Smet July 9th, 2005, 05:48 PM Wow it looks like it even has dual link SDI for 4:4:4 RGB. Bill Sobel April 11th, 2006, 09:44 AM For those of you who are interested, the Iconix HD-RH1 will be available for demo at NAB in booth SU1650 (South Concourse/Upper Level). We are expecting quite a bit of traffic since our sold out demo in Burbank last month. If you would like more info or to schedule a demo contact me at bill@sobel.com Many Thanks, Bill Sobel Iconix Video LLC Wes Vasher September 12th, 2006, 08:50 AM Apparently they are showing at IBC and the price is $16,000. http://www.dvguru.com/2006/09/12/ibc-iconix-hd-rh1-hi-def-in-your-pocket/ http://www.ibc.org/cgi-bin/ibc_dailynews_cms.cgi?db_id=23216&issue=2 Ed Smith September 12th, 2006, 01:43 PM I saw the camera on the 'Polecam' stand at IBC and have the blub in front of me. It looks pretty amazing, its got DVi-I, HD-SDI, HD Component and switchable formats. I've been looking for a small HD camera for IN car camera shots and this might do it. The only thing now to find is a small HD video recorder (preferably HDD based). I'll certainly be keeping my eye on this little beast ;) Cheers, Chris Hurd September 12th, 2006, 04:50 PM It was also at CineGear Los Angeles back in June. I would imagine it needs a lot of light... |
