Hey, I just got the wrong quick release plate for the Miller DS-20 and Canon 7D. Anyone have this setup and a quick release? What do you use or recommend?

I'm trying to avoid buying this guy!

I also use this and want a quick release for this as well.

You probably got the Manfroto QR plate right?

I looked around and could not find anything to fit the DS20 myself - and yes, $160 for their own brand is overpriced. Let me know if anyone has a solution at a decent cost.

B&H gave me the 357 by Manfrotto. I have to turn the plate sideways, which then it works ok on the tripod, but not so good on the shoulder mount. I contacted Miller to see what they have to say.

I have a Miller DS-15 which uses the #490 mounting plate. It fits perfectly and doesn't look like it will ever wear out. According to Miller the DS-20 uses the #489 which is similar. You can call Miller at (973) 857-8300.

BTW, on a 7D the plate sticks out a ways in front of the camera — it isn't designed for a DSLR so its awkward but usable.
