Hi Guys.
Just wanted to know what anyone out there uses to connect their z5 to an external monitor.
I was originally gonna go down the route of buying the smallest 1080p TV(as i mostly shoot progressive) i could find to hook up the camera via HDMI.I was gonna get an HDMI cable that ran about 50 feet or so just in case i needed that length on set but i've since read that after about 20 feet an HDMI cable could lose its signal quality, not to mention that they are not as a robust as say a component cable.Thats the other thing i'm quite confused about-i think i just assumed(doh!) that there would be a HD SDI output for monitoring. The only other output is component but the input on the camera is A/V.The lead that comes with the camera is about as long as a shoelace-is there anywhere to get the desired lead in longer lengths and does anyone think that the HDMI setup would be better anyway-or what would you guys recommend as the best set up for output to monitor.
Cheers,
john.
