Just wanted to see if there would be a new section for Sony's forthcoming HXR-NX5U AVCHD based NXCAM camera.

Since it isn't HDV will it get it's own category or will the Sony HDV forum have AVCHD added?

Yes, please make a new section for it. I'ts hard to keep searching through various sections for new info about this camera.

It's definitely the right time. I just have to figure out where to put it... might be best to rename the XDCAM category and put it there, but I've also been thinking about reorganizing the Sony HDV section, that list of boards seems to go on and on. Either way, we'll have it ready here shortly.

Up and running -- its temporary home for now will be our Most Recent Additions category.
