Hi can anyone recommend what they think would be the best camcorder for use in a photobooth to record people as they have fun taking their photos.
I want to acheive the following:
Camcorder must be hard drive or SD memory card based.
Camcorder should create a new file or video clip everytime a new recording starts.
Camcorder should have ability to be remote controlled by a photobooth attendant either using a wireless or wired connection.
Since the camcorder will be hidden within the photobooth their should be some sort of signal showing if the camcorder is recording or not. I suppose I could simply run some kind of light tubing from the camcorders recordign led to an outside part of the booth, but would hope to avoid that.
if it could somehow bulk upload all the videos to youtube that wuold be cool too
Peace, Rolland

Can't really help you with the gear, but can possibly point out the gigantic bear trap ahead, in case you haven't seen it yourself.

Unless you've got signed releases from every & anyone using said booth (which I believe would be considered a "private" place) whilst that camera is installed, let alone running, any video uploaded to the web could well leave you well in the poo, and I do mean "well", as in bottomless pit.

Think about it, then find another project, methinks.

Hint: Think of the result of putting same cam into a cubicle in a pubic toilet and then uploading the result on the web. Then think millions. Dollars, that is. Then there's the jail time.

Unless you have a rational explanation, I do not think any sane person will say anything else.

You just have a disclosure in the booth! Then you edit out any inappropriate scenes. Sorry I don't share your sue happy perspective.
