I'd like some clarification - I saw a post here stating that the GH1 doesn't come with software and that Neoscene was required for the 24p footage (IIRC).

I see in another thread that they got Edius Neo 2 with *a* Panasonic camera and that they had to create an account to get the latest version of Neo through Panasonic.

I have Neo 1 and have grown quite fond of it for what I do, but it lacks certain features that are available in Neo 2 (pan and zoom, for example). However, before I spring $150-$200 or more I thought I'd ask on the off chance something has changed at Panasonic.

The Neo 2 offer is from Panasonic Broadcast, the professional camcorder division.

The GH1 is sold by the consumer division. So no, no Neo 2 included in any of the consumer cameras.
