I have a Canon 500d, it produces wonderful stills, and more than acceptable video. The problem is it records at 1280x720 30fps. I believe that the original 5d Mk 2 recorded at 30 fps, I am in the UK and need 25fps. What I would like to know is the best workflow for this footage. I have Prem CS4, Vegas 9, Procoder 3, Mpeg Streamclip, Super etc. I can rewrap the clips which makes it a little easier/manageable, but what is the best method of changing the frame rate to 25fps ? and getting this footage out to SD DVD
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much.

Most solutions for going from 30p to 25 or 24 p are at best stop gap. That is why the continuing collective holding of our breaths until we get those rates in the 5D. I use Cineform NeoScene converting at 29.97, then go from their in Vegas to a finished 24p product. Depending on scene, it can work fine. But there is a potential for artifacts.

Some folks are using Twixtor for the conversion...
