I just built a Micro35. Here is my first test:

Tell me what ya think...

Maybe I just don't have the right codec, but it won't play on my computer. I also tried opening it in final cut and it didn't work either.

Nice little test, Im jelous of course.

I just feel like I couldn't even begin making one... Like it's too far out of my reach.

I need to at least try, you guys are teasing me too much.

It's a 16:9 MPEG-2.

So, Josh.

Would you have any tips on building one? Such as links to site to help guide me? Things to watch out for so I wont make a huge mistake?

I'm gathering parts now, so parts suggestions would be great aswell. I have been using the tutorial off of Media Chance's website.

I have no clue how I will get it to fit on my XL2 though... I'll continue my research.

By the way, put up some more footage if you can. I can't get enough, hopefully it will inspire me enough not to quit working on my own converter haha

Thanks!

It looks good, but the true test is always outside shooting the sky (IMHO), that is where you really see vignetting, hotspotting and the warble of the CD!
