Hi, I have searched the forum for this information without success, it is a simple question. Can I use my XL1s with the Firestore range of products and how is the connection made.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can use a FireStore recorder with an XL1S, and the connection is made via FireWire.

I opted for two FS-4s (each 3 hr) kits. One of them works great, the other sometimes has a hard time syncing with the camera controls in starting. Takes about 20 minutes to download 3 hrs through firewire to my G-5. Love them!
