Good evening folks,

I am about to pick a tripod system for my HMC-150 and I am about to pick one of these two:

Libec | LS-22(2A) Professional Tripod System | LS-22(2A) | B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/458961-REG/Libec_LS_22_2A__LS_22_2A_Professional_Tripod_System.html)

Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging | 501HDV,351MVB2K | 501HDV,351MVB2K (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/487976-REG/Manfrotto_by_Bogen_Imaging_501HDV_351MVB2K_501HDV_351MVB2K_1_Stage_Tripod_System.html)

I read a recent thread about tripods for HMC-150, but my question here is ONLY about those two.

Pros, cons, comments?
Which one would you get and why?

Thanks very much for your opinion!!

Best Regards,

Libec without a doubt. I just got the LS-22 and LOVE IT!

I played with the 501 at a store and it does not compare.

Libec is well built and great for pans!

I heard from a friend that it is best to get the one without the ground spreader. I have the one that is at the middle and it works fine.

Hope this helps.

As someone who purchased a 501HDV for the 150, I can say it's great if you don't want to move the camera!
I recently upgraded to the 503HDV and it's a whole new world. Everything is smooth and works like it should.
Can't speak for the Libec but have heard nothing but stellar things about it. I chose the 503 to keep all my gear compatible QR plate-wise. I seem to have TON of them!

I too have a 503dv and it's smooth as butter. I can't speak for the 501, but this head is fantastic. A little pricey but the continuously variable drag adjustments are worth it and the lighted bubble is nice.
