So, the concept of my new feature is this: "An unassertive loser is pressured to rid his home of an outspoken neighbor on Christmas day."

I would like to know how you rid your home of unwanted individuals when it's become obvious that they've clearly overstayed their welcome.

Comment and see what others said (http://indie-feature-film.blogspot.com/2010/01/reader-participation-part-one.html).

Amway. Just ask them if they are interested in a "business opportunity". Gets rid of most people, myself included.

Extra points for you Andrew... lol, I had a blog post a while back debating whether Primerica was a scam or not and the thing has exploded in popularity. I posted it back in June and it now gets easily 200-500 hits a day from google from people exploring the legitimacy of "business opportunities" like that.

If somebody calls you about an "amazing business opportunity" but can't tell you what it actually is ... RUN!

If you are required to use / view your friends as potential cu$tomers ... RUN!

If this business opportunity required you to constantly purchase motivational tapes (http://www.culthelp.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=800&Itemid=9) just so you can sell soap powder ... RUN!

I can't believe no one's stated the obvious yet. . OVERT SEXUAL ADVANCES! Come on! Guy or girl, it's probably unwelcome and will creep them out and drive them away. Maybe this backfires if you're a good looking dude/chick, but if, like, me, you look like Paul Simon and Dustin Hoffman had a bald baby, then it's guaranteed to work.

Slightly awkward if it's another dude. Well, for me at least ...

"I'd like to talk to you about our lord and savior..."

"If you're gonna sit there, you'll want to sprinkle yourself with some of the blue powder in medicine cabinet..."

"You're startin' to sound like them voices in my head..."

That reminds me when I was photographing a group from Mental Health Queensland at their booth at a trade show ....

"Right, then. Is everybody here?"

They had no sense of humour. True story.

Tell them abut the basic tenants of L. Ron Hoover and the First Church of Appliantology
(gratitude to Frank Zappa).
